Big Game Fishing here in Vava'u

You can also experience the thrills of being in a South Pacific tropical fishing paradise.

Vava’u offers a great variety of fishing challenges to both experienced and novice anglers.

Fish waiting to be caught include Pacific Blue, Black and Striped Marlin, Yellow Fin and Dogtooth Tuna, Mahimahi, Wahoo and Giant Trevally. Both light tackle (8kg, 10kg) and big game gear (15kg, 24kg, 37kg) are available.

We can put you into contact with any of the main operators, but it's best to hav this booked before you arrive at the Resort as the skippers and boats can at times be fully booked.  They're operators that will fit every budget and expectation so in no particular order Henk at Target One Game Fishing, Jeff at Hakula, Keith at Kiwi Magic and Steve at Ika Lahi.

All fishing gear and bait are supplied. If you are specialising in light tackle, you may wish to bring your own gear, jigs and lures.

Areas fished include circumnavigation of Vava'u, NW side of Vava'u, Hunga Island and Hunga Banks where the bottom drops from 40m to 1000m in less than a quarter of a mile.

You may even see the migrating Humpback whales at close range on your fishing charter.
